p.3 #1 · Black Dots? - Try This . . .

As I keep saying, nature doesn't like it when man tries to outsmart her.

The only way the human race has been able to exist has been by outsmarting nature. Nature might not like it, oh well.

The old Parkay Margarine commercials: "It's not nice to fool Mother Nature." (Cue: Thunder and lightning).

Canon, and others (including Nikon with the D3x) are doing silly things with the number of pixels, at the expense of what really matters - IQ. There is no need for 20+ mp cameras,

You don't have a need for 20+ megapixel cameras. "Speak for yourself, John Alden."

but manufacturers feel that they can break the laws of physics and sidestep issues by going so small pixel wise.

Well, even Hasselblad, Leaf, and Aptus are getting into the tiny pixel ranges, so apparently all the manufactures who have the means don't agree with you.

I honestly believe that government intervention should have been made to force Canon to recall the units as faulty, and fix the issue, rather than sell a camera with a known fault. I mean, if Toyota sells you a car with known breaking issues, they *have* to recall it. Why doesn't the same applie to other manufacturers who release products with known faults?

Is this a real question? Does someone actually need to explain why the government steps in if an automobile manufacturer sells cars with known braking issues?

Well, Okay. The camera is much less likely than an automobile to get someone killed when it fails. When pictures of Christmas tree lights have black dots, nobody dies.

We don't need the government leaping in to control everything that causes a bit of disappointment.
