Wow - I'm just so-o-o jealous! I live in Florida and have been trying to get even a halfway decent shot of a Kingfisher. I haven't yet been successfull at it! I like #1 and # 3 best, but ALL are beautiful! Some day I hope to get close to the work you manage to do with the Kingfisher - one of my favorite birds...
Well thank you, Tim. It depends how familiar you are with the local nature habitat. Earlier in August we drove to Florida for 3 weeks. We did see the Kingfisher in 3 different places, but were unable to get a decent picture of them. Just out of curiosity, where in Florida are you?

Andy&Hanh - nice shots! think I will pay the KF a visit this coming weekend. The bobcats need a break from my constant harassment.
Thang,
Thank you. We were at BC today and heard the KF from across the wetland. There's a good chance they'll still be there this weekend. Have you read Hanh's articles on Nguoi Viet daily?

Light, check! Sharpness, check! Poses, check! Composition, check! Better equipment... hold on!
Well, we're making do with what we have (or something like that). Thank you Captain Kirk. Warp speed...
