It is hard to choose one photo! I like this one of Judo athlete Jeff Sato (Olympic Training Center, Colorado Springs) because it shows his intensity leading up to the 08 China games.
this (i hope) still qualifies as a people shot and not a sports shot since it was taken on a movie set. cropped a little, but otherwise straight out of camera. easily my favorite shot from this year.
This may not be my best...but certainly the one I will remember the longest. Having been part of the 42,000 cramped into a small park in Indiana on Halloween night, you just had to think it was going to be an historical moment. It was.
Not the greatest technically or artistically, but this one taken at around 8,000ft in Kashmir, Pakistan is my best shot of 2008 as to me it represents a sense of hope and optimism.
Most of these have some technical flaws (slightly missed focal points, missing chin and tilted horizon), but there all of my kids and bring great memories.
