Me too! It wasn't the best "sunrise" of the trip, but I liked it nonetheless. How did you call that? Active weather?
The second one is a very good crop. It works better than the first, but both are very good.
Hi Carlo.
Most of the sunises were like this - "active" weather, as you say. It's what makes Scotland such an interesting place to photograph! A great morning to be out on the moor.

Two fine...fine images, Martin. I look to the open expanse of the second image. The low hanging mist in the bg is just gorgeous and for that alone it was imho well worth the effort.
Al B
Absolutely right, Al; well worth the pre-dawn rise - Carlo always made sure that we got up in time! I also like the second and think it was worth the shoot!

I really love the hanging clouds!

Thanks Bruce.
These clouds are always a great element in this area. They are very active and changeable. Glad you enjoyed!

Beautiful, Martin. I like the atmosphere in both, especially the water in one which looks like a lead weight. And the slight touch of blue sky in second.
Karl
Thanks Karl.
It's hard not to get an atmospheric shot in this area - unless the cloud is actually touching the ground. Cold and boggy underfoot and if your foot lands in a hole then it's a real leaden-footed excercise!

Nice pair. I think I prefer the first for the interplay between the clouds, hillside, mists and water. Paul.
Hi, Paul.
Thanks for the comment. Sorry we missed you on the second November - it was fun.

Two beautiful views, quite different in atmosphere, water so quiet in the first that everything seems frozen or suspended in time, while the ripples on the water of the second image suggest cold, and wind, a cloud/mist-scape in perpetual mutation.

Hola Santiago.
It's the rise and fall of the wind which ripples the water that causes these constantly shifting cloud patterns on the moors. Glad you enjoyed the pics!

Hi, Stan.
Thanks for the comment. Should you be able to make it to Scotland, don't hesitate to PM/email me!

HI Martin,
Beautiful images . I really like the colors and the mist is always an added bonus. Well done.

These misty mornings are always so cool. It's when it's solid, unrelieved grey..................... The colours come from the endemic bracken in the area.
