encouraging, that most people chose to be constructive.
How is this constructive?
There are thousands of pictures on pbase, here, on POTN using this lens. How can anyone doubt this lens is capable of sharp beautiful pictures with shallow dof? What does that do to help someone decide whether to get an 85mm or a 35mm lens? Wouldn't a more practical aproach be to find out what the guys shoots?

I have the 35L and have shot with the 85L. I tried the 50L and the AF was soooooo sloooow, i just couldn't go with it. I have the 50 1.4 and it is very very good at 1/4th the cost of the 50L.
Thank you for all the lovely photos Nick, bobbytan, Jonesy, westerberg, and anyone else I might have missed.
Thanks for the shot on the 1DMKIII lidesun as that is the camera I just picked up used via this forum.
elader, thanks for your shot as well of the dog. I will be using my future 85L for weddings and pet photography. And yes I consider the photos constructive.
Yes I researched many 35L, vs. 50L, vs. 85L, vs. 135L (which is the only prime I own now) which has helped me to make up my mind on getting the 85L. I just started a "feel good" post to enable everyone to show there work. Reason I like this forum better then others is that there are so many darn good photographers here and I love to see their work.
So yes, maybe this is a "been there, done that topic", but please keep them coming.
