It doesn't just vig - the circle of light is physically smaller than a FF sensor, so the image simply drops. You could crop, but you'll lose about 30% of the pic.
Pity. My assistant's copy is sharp enough wide open it would take a good copy of the 35L to compete with it.

from memory the image circle is actually large enough to cover aps-h but not ff, but at wide apertures theres quite a bit of vignetting which improves when stopped down.

True, I tried it. I did not realize my 30mm wouldn't work until I mounted it up on my 5D and took some shots. It was my favorite lens on my 40D. I was sorry to see it go.
