Rubbish. Just because printed media and display screens have inherently low DR there is no reason not to capture higher DR. I draw your attention to this quote from the linked reference.

Many photographers are currently making HDR files by combining multiple captures. An HDR sensor would eliminate the requirement for multiple captures and the associated problems with subject movement.
