I've been waiting on SP3 both for bugs to get fixed and because I'm deployed and only recently have internet access on my personal laptop. I don't want bugs right now. I still shoot D70 so I'll check for this error when I update to SP3 in a few weeks.
Strongly considering a Mac just for photo editing and management. Would convert wholesale but they're just so much more expensive when you're a laptop plus multiple pc household. And yes, I'm a gamer too so while Macs have the power and processor to run games now, you'll pay twice the price for comparable speed to pc.
After updating to SP3 my laptop went bonkers and all hell broke out. Ended up restoring the whole thing and said screw the updates and turned them off. Windows sucks... for now. lol

I hear you on the multiple PC's and laptops department, house full of PC's, several laptops, and one Mac Mini. I have two KVM switches, running the systems in sets of 4. The Mac Mini plays nicely on the KVM with the MS Keyboard and mouse.
Stay tuned on the Mac front though, supposed to be a big announcement Tuesday about Mac Laptops, rumor mill is saying an $800 laptop.
I only use Mac now, but, in my PC days I stopped using all Norton software. It tended to weave itself into every aspect of the PC and most programs. Even deleting it can be difficult. Unfortunately, the MS Service Packs are a necessity if you want to keep your computer secure.
