Great Job buddy.... I'm not going to add anymore about how hard these are to capture, you already know that... BUT WHAT THE! 36 post and your views are in the thousands... I heard that someone on DP review linked this thread and is taking full credit for it under another name (Tony someone) over there... You might want to check this out!
C <----who's got a thumper going right now
What's this thumper thing you speak of ? Is this the little dog you have that keeps piddling on the floor? I think you mentioned it was a Yorkshire terrier or something along those lines
Now I thought I have patience with the birds but DFIF shots are something else again! I have NEVER captured one that I thought was good enough to post. These are all pretty awesome, Ant. I would have to go with #2 as my fave for the dark bg really bringing the DF out. But I know I'd consider it time well-spent if I'd taken any of these Best Wishes, Steve
Big Compliment coming from you Steve > I appreciate it and glad you enjoyed them
I tried to take some pictures of dragonflies in flight the other day with my MF Minolta film camera. I failed miserably. I can only imagine that autofocus would serve me a lot better, though probably not with my XTI...

Yes Auto focus would make this much easier > Well at least in my case it did >> But be prepared for a really pathetic Keeper rate Not sure about the focus speed of the XTI so no help there ............
Outstanding shots Ant! So where does one go from here? Maybe you could try mosquitos in flight? Frogs mid-leap? Jeez...and I was proud of myself when I got a swallow shot. You're schooling us!!!
