Thanks Carrol,
Glad you like it. My main concern is that my wife now thinks im totally mad as i went round the house looking for clear plastic objects to photograph in apparently grey light
One day she will look through the viewfinder
Maybe
Take care

sorry to be a donut here but how did you achieve this?
Regards,
Marcus
No donuts here marcus for all the questions i can answer i still have many more to ask myself.
First take a tungsten bulb and place something to diffuse it over it. Once diffused place a polarising filter on top. This now polarises the light from the bulb.
Next take some clear sellotape and scrunch up, you dont need much just enough to cover the filter. gently place on filter as cleaning later is a pain
Now frame the shot square onto the sellotape as required.
Finally take second polarising filter and shoot your pictures through it, turn the filter and chose your shot.
Last but not least have lots of fun with anything clear and plastic !!
It's ok, you are mad. Which is fortunate else you wouldn't be taking such great shots! Truely abstract, I would never have guessed in a million years what it was!

Simply beautiful, Mark! Perfect shot for this WA! I have a couple of kaleidoscopes that utilize polarized chips inside. They are quite remarkable.
All the best,
Endre
Id read about this and remember doing something back at college years ago in Physics. Was quite a shock though when i actually looked through the viewfinder
Take care

Most colourful and clever. I trust that no filters were harmed in the process.
None hurt ,though rather a lot of cleaning fluid needed to get back to normal
Take care
