I went to visit my wife's grandparents this weekend, and I found that her grandfather collects some interesting things!
In the 60s he would go into the ghost towns in the mountains of Colorado and dig in dump sites he could find around abandoned cabins. He would search for bottles and other treasures around these cabins, and make some great finds. While he was showing me the bottles, he would take the bottle and hold it over the light to show me the imperfections in the glass and the unusual colors of the glass.
I snapped off this photo while he was holding the glass over the light.
This was taken with a Canon 30D with an Olympus 50mm f/3.5 Macro Lens with an OM-EOS adapter. I believe it was taken at f/8.
This brings back memories of when I used to do the same as your grandfather, only I did it in the 80's. It fits the theme nicely and I like the execution. I like it. Good luck this week.

Hi Ben, neat find! I like what Carrol said about the under lighting. Defiantly feels like your inspecting. Amazing how the placement of light can alter the personality of a presentation huh? Thanks for sharing.
