I came across this beautiful place on one of my off weekends. It is Plitvice National Park in Croatia. It is a series of 16 lakes that are terraced over each other and they feed one another all the way down the side of the mountain. Add the limestone features of the area itself and you get this unbelievable colbalt green water color.

very cool indeed. 1 and 3, although 3 seems like it might be missing something, but not much one can do with shooting such a big subject. i might be curious of a b/w too. good work here.

The 1st one was a trial in patience. It is a 3 shot pano and my tri-pod was sitting on a wooden boardwalk that allows the park visitors to walk around the park. Problem is it would resonate with anyone over 100 Lbs walking on it up to 60-70 yards away. With all of the visitors, it took me about 45 minutes to get the three.

I once tried making a HDR pano of the same scene...
Anyway, the trick is not to go there over the weekend and if possible skip mid June - mid September. The best time to visit Plitvice is mid-end October (Autumn colors).
