Very nice dynamic shot with beautiful colors. I really like this a lot - I would tone down the center of the sky just a tad, but what great dynamic action you found !!
This is excellent stuff, really. However if I had to nitpick I would crop it to a square, or at least to 4:3 vertically. Reducing the amount of clouds on the top could produce a more powerful image.
Gosh,
I think I just need to put my camera away when I look at your creations, and what fortunate conditions! How fun and memorable.
Looking at some of the comments... I guess you could crop off a little sky to get closer to a better aspect ratio, but that's about it.
Wonderful shot.
Haven't had a chance to check this thread in a few days! Wow - the comments just keep coming! Thanks very much for taking the time, everyone. It means a lot to me.
John - PLEASE don't put away your camera because of me! I love photography - and I don't want anyone else to miss out.
Chip - Wow! Thanks. That's quite a compliment!
Hazel - thanks for taking the time to be so thorough! I'm glad you like this shot! We had a great time - and the kids were dead tired at the end of every day. So was I!
Tremendous shot Varina. I'm sure from things securing this shot was not easy with everyone being frantic. You captured this dynamic moment very well. Are any of the kids interested in photography yet?

Oh yes - my seven-year-old wants to be a landscape photographer, too. She's the artist of the bunch.

You are mortal, right? I'm starting to think that you have superpowers and can control nature.

Nope!!! She is going to live forever. Why do you think I married her? I think I have the better end of the deal.

But...but...what if she "shows you up" on her imagery? What then?
"If" I show him up? I already do, my friend. I already do. Just kidding. We're pretty competitive, but we learn a lot from each other, too. There's nothing that makes me more jealous than when he has time to process photographs and I don't.
