I wouldn't call it admirable, someone might.

MP-E 65 @ 1-2X lifesize. I don't like the OOF highlights, they're hexagons!

Both of those work really well. Love the second.

Ajay - how is that Zeiss 35/1.4 treating u?

i guess this is as much blur as one gets on an ultra wide angle in harsh light

@DBehrens: the first one looks very painterly! I didn't remember that the CM can produce such nice bokeh

@lovinglife: wonderful rendering!

The CM is actually a great little lens.

A couple from the mighty Leica Summilux-M 50/1.4 ASPH. With an MFD of 0.7m it's not exactly a lens for doing closeups, but I think it does fairly well in terms of interesting bokeh:

Very nice Luka. Love the colors in the 3rd and 4th photo. They would provide a nice
contrast if framed and hung next to each other.

Here are some photos in a similar vein from a cold rainy April 1st. Shot with the OM Zuiko 50mm f/1.2.

I'm a long time lurker, posted only a few opinions, but haven't contributed anything.

Here's one from my Contax 50 f/1.7 on 5D.

Fantastic light in that first photo, bonyari. Also great to see photos from the 50/1.7 on Full Frame.

Thank you. I know the 2nd shot isn't up to the standard on this forum but I like it.

Canon 5DMkII, Minolta Rokkor 58mm f1.2, wide open:
http://www.cornbread.com/~buggz/NewYoshinoCherryBlossoms-resized.jpg
I love how this lens requires minimal PP, nothing I normally do is needed, heh, nor works!
Just have to adjust noise and sharpening, love it.
Truely my best bokeh monster!
I need to learn on how to process for the web.
The focal point looks waaay softer than the ARGB 16 bit .tiff file.
I guess you have to oversharpen for web display?
