p.2 #2 · How do appearances play a role in your selling yourself?
I'm just speculating here, but wouldn't it behoove most wedding photographers to have a variety of "looks" in their portfolio? That way average people aren't only seeing what can be done with a 'Ken and Barbie' couple, but can also get the confidence that you'll turn them into Ken and Barbie? Just a thought.
p.2 #3 · How do appearances play a role in your selling yourself?
As far as personal appearence is concerned, when I shoot, regardless the occasion (wedding, bday party, anniversaries, etc.) I have a long sleeve shirt, slacks, and dress shoes. If its a teen/college age function, I wear a polo shirt, some nice jeans, and some fresh sneakers. If I'm shooting subjects outside, its whatevers comfortable. When Im at my shop, during working hours - nice jeans and shirts, if im just rendering and have no appointments its whatever, cause aint nobody coming for shoots.
