Last week went out to the local wildlife reserve with my son Conor and found this, a small hole through which the bees gain access to there underground hive. Went back today to get this. Not so much a doorway as an entrance.

Cheers Adam, im sure you can get a sexy shot of that car door that would be just as good, if not better. I wont say how many i took but i was there for two hours!

I would not argue with that bee about doorways or entrances, either way you're not crossing that threshold!

That's an awesome shot! I shoot bees and wasps all the time and am always looking to get the great action shot like yours!

Great shot.

The bees were all very well beehaved (sorry). I didnt try to get any closer as i didnt want to disturb their normal pattern of daily life.

I came back to photography last october, and so now springs here, these are the first bees and live macro shots i have been able to get. Am looking forward to the rest of the year.

It was wonderful watching them ,they were working so hard. No bravery was needed at all as they never bothered me in the two hours i was there.

Hi Mark,

Wow! A truly fantastic shot. I don't care how many shots it took to get this one, just to be able to capture this so well demonstrates tremendous creativity and skill. This is the most interesting bee shot I have seen by a wide margin. Good luck this week, but you won't need it.
