Nice pic, I like all the entries I've seen of your work. I like the tilt and angle: it's as though it's from a dogs perspective in the background, with it's head tilted.
Bravo, yet again, Bev, my dear friend! We'll see this in the finals. I love the lighting and the sepia conversion. As to Yakim's not liking the tilt - it's important for him to realize that it's not the shot that is tilted but rather your house.
Thanks, everyone!!! Really appreciate the nice feedback.
Andy, you are right about the tilt. The 2nd dog was beside me and he is famous for tilting his head; this is definitely his perspective, as I was down on the floor with him, shooting up.
Perfect take on the WA. Well thought out. As for the angle? I like it. Brings a different perspective to it rather than the "usual" straight on shot. The tone also makes this stand out. Just a great shot and connection to the theme. Like Endre, see you in the finals AGAIN
I really enjoyed the surprise factor I got in this photo. The treatment looks a bit ominous in the thumbnail gallery, and then we open it up to backlit little dog ears and a tail we can almost watch wagging. That. Is. Awesome.

Awwww, thanks Tamara!! He's a bichon with a lovely long flowing tail, and he is the best welcome home greeter anyone could have.

Another dog? I must admit that this thought hasn't crossed my mind but when I think of it now, it's really cute.
Wonderful shot. My little dog does the same when I come home, so I know the feeling and you have captured it so well with the warm glow of the light and the sepia conversion. This is just a terrific shot. Good luck this week.
