Not posted here for while so thought I would upload one from a recent trip to Northumberland on the East coast of England.
This was shot from Embleton Beach with Lilburn Tower in the BK, which is part of Dunstanburgh Castle.
Very nice, you don't mention exposure times or what filters were used, but the long shutter length adds a nice dreamy effect to this... looks like you got wet
Great shot Alex, a different perspective on a location I have seen so many photos of. If I was to be ultra critical I wouild say the sky is a little too dark compared to the water, although that does add to the mood. I really enjoyed looking at your gallery.
Gorgeous shot, Alex. I like the composition with the portrait orientation emphasising the foreground with that beautiful gold on the rocks; and the castle, slightly menaceing in the background. Very nicely done.
A fine image with excellent presence. Love the dark tones in the sky and rocks. Perhaps slightly less light on the hot spots in the water, but only slightly. Good work.
Great comp, looks like you love this location, I remember your last post of this location which was really efffective.
Great moody shot.
I like the way you have a good size of the castle in the image.
Reminds me of David Clapps style of shooting this location.
The only problem I have is the completely blown whites in the water, have you tried getting those hghlights back in your raw file.... watch out for this as it really does detract fromm the image, it would have really been a fab fab image if you had got the water exposed correctly.
