how do you make the butterfly wait until you finish with the shoot?
nice capture!
Hi ausmr, I spotted these butterflies while I was shooting some birds with my 400mm prime. Didn’t have time to change my lens. I was also happy with the results.

Congrats.! a wall hanger for sure
I didn’t notice that they are mating at time of capturing the shot. Nello, you are breaking the rules in this forum. X rated things could be shown but cannot be discussed.

Very well done. I hope to do as well this weekend. Care to share your setup?
Hi Anthony, it is a very simple set-up. Not usual stuff that should have used. I shot this with my 400mm prime. The natural light was helping me to take this shot. You can check the EXIF data to get more details. Anyway I will list down for your easy reference.
ISO 400, f5.6, 1/500 sec, manual shooting mode, without flash, handheld, focal length 400mm.
Good luck with your weekend shooting.

Nice capture here! I'm envious of those with an eye for the little things. I never seem to pay that much attention. In fact it took me a moment to realize there are two butterflies here. Cool!

Thanks Jason. I was just lucky to spot this one. Appreciate your comments.
