Thanh you all who replied. I did not think this photo would get this much attention. I agree that smoking is a filthy habit; I have never smoked and never will. Thanks for all of your responses.

very nice, great detail. Though for me, I think it'd be even better if you could see his face, his eyes.. Or maybe it'd ruin it..

the sharpness is earth shattering. Did you boost the sharpness in post or do i need to get a d3 and 85 1.8?

Hey Ryan, I did not boost the sharpness of this photo, I just processed it in Nikon Capture NX and resized/cropped it in Photoshop.

You can get a D3 if you need one but I know most cameras will be this sharp with nice glass attached to it. I shot this with the 85mm F/1.4 @ F/2.8, however the 85 1.8 will do just fine also.
