noelle, all digital photographs need to be sharpened to some extent either in the camera or during PP. I don't have the camera do any processing, I do it all in PS. For these pictures I used selective sharpening, I only sharpened the subject. There are numerous ways to selectively sharpen. Put it in Google, there are tons of tutorials that can explain how. If you want more detail than that feel free to PM me.
