In terms of lens development, Minolta has an amazing pedigree, too.
Within seconds of going back to the 1Ds I was missing the A700's permanent AF: another great idea. And I know that if I shoot a 1Ds III + 135L back to back with a Sony Flagship + CZ 135/1.8 I'm going to feel envious if I'm going home with the Canon, so it'll be swings and roundabouts come the autumn (or 'fall', if you will; just as we're now in the season of 'shine', which follows on from 'brrr' and 'grow').
