I tend to lean towards the B/W because I don't feel the colors add much to the impact of the shot. I feel like without the distraction of the colors you're forced to focus on the subjects and composition a little more closely.
The B&W has "Storm" written all over it. The color image is just a little too inviting, . . . too pretty. Nice, . . . but I like the threatening mood of the B&W. And I feel that it's also the richer of the two. The leaning light house does bother me a bit (B&W image).
