Excellent series. Looks like you used a 70-200. If so, you were CLOSE! Must have been worth the effort. The expressions are priceless. Thanks for sharing.

Good call, it was the 70-200 (f/4). And, I could get so close to the monkeys that I would have to back away to get focus at times!
Any one of these alone would be outstanding, but number one has all the elements to make it uniquely special. Numbers 5 and 7 are close on the heels of number one. I hope some of them get used commercially so other will be able to see them too.
You must leave Tokyo in the morning and you will arrive around 3 or so in the afternoon. You then have a 1/2 - 1 hour walk into the place if there is snow. If not, a taxi can take you closer.
Geez, Steve.....knock me down and shut me up
I didn't know you were a tease, too?
You are setting us up with each set being better yet....
The mom & babe set is so touching..
and "mom working" doesn't look so happy like the kid is biting
but #5 looks like a young Yoda....and those eyes!!!.....
Looks like he's looking thru one of your telescopes into the Face of God?
Excellent series
You are making everyone run out of superlatives....
Thanks again for sharing your wonderful trip with us.
#6 is simply fantastic! Wow, that looks like it should go on a calendar!
They are all great but #6 seems to exemplify a sense on "wonder" that is just really excellent.
