I'm so glad you like it, Jouko. What, exactly constitutes a photograph? Every bit of this, with the exception of the stars and clouds in front and the radiating light is a photograph. People have been compositing photos since photography was invented. Are composite photos not photographs? I don't know the answer and I'm certainly not being arguementative but it's an interesting thought to ponder. Thanks for the kind comments.
All the best,
Endre

Not exactly a photograph, but a fine creation nevertheless, love it!
Well now Endre, blowing away the competition again are we?
Your idea of a story sounds excellent, especially with such beautiful images as illustrations. Fantastic.
Thanks, Jason! I appreciate your very kind comments. I don't know about blowing away competition. Your entry this week is awfully competitive.
Doing these illustrations is very theraputic for me, following the passing of our precious son. In a way, I feel that they are being channeled through me since it is very unusual to be illustrating a book before the story is written.
All best wishes,
Endre

Than you so much, Adam. I'm happy that you like this image. I am collecting ideas for the book and as soon as i get a good outline of the story, I'll pass it along to my friend, the VERY famous author. The srory has to encompass the illustrations done so far and have a rough resemblance to the basic plot line I outlined in a post to Jim above. ANY ideas would be most warmly appreciated.
All best wishes,
Endre

Amazing technique and composition...
Thanks, Chad! You are too kind. I really appreciate your comments. Given that this is being made with a book in mind, that is high praise.
As to winning, Fred first has to choose this for the finals before anyone cn vote on it. It may not make the cut it because of so much PS alteration. I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't make it.
All best wishes,
Endre

This shot needs to be put on a poster or book cover. This is commercial quality.
I guess we all need to enter a world of fantasy to think we have a chance of winning up against this.
You are right. The one in your gallery gives us a much better perspective. Eva and the umbrella seem a little lost. The original gives us glimpse of the wonder and vibrancy beyond the grand door. Fantastic. Love the bird and the clouds. Great lighting as usual.
Wonderful image. It is obvious to everyone that this is not only an investment of time and energy but of love. What a tribute to your daughter. She is very luck. Thanks for sharing this with us.
