Ted - I like your backlit shots best. They look just a wee bit hot, but that might be unavoidable. Did you shoot these Av with + EC?
The exploding catcher's mitt is always fun. As one who is still looking out at a white lawn, I saw that and thought "Aw, nice - dust! Haven't seen dust for a while".
Dennis
Dennis, thanks so much for your reply. You had commented on my work last year and I have learned much since then. Last year, these would have been underexposed. I shot these in manual mode. What is +EC?
Obviously, I liked the popping catchers mitt. Any suggestions for the future?

Ted,
First of all, congratulations on having a son play baseball for Villanova - you must be proud! He has had an excellent career, and a great W-L record! I attend games at my alma mater where I got my graduate degree (Rice) and I know my son dreams of playing there!
I like many of your shots. I would brighten #3 just a tad, and like 4 and 5 a lot. Of course there are no BAD shots of your son playing college baseball! I like the stadium shots too. It is hard to shoot at night, but you might consider some fill in Photoshop or Lightroom on 1 and 2. Great stuff!...Show more →
Don....wow, thanks so much. Proud, yes! ........Never a bad shot of my son.. ...
Nice stuff! I shot basketball for the paper at Nova a couple weeks ago (although it was only a HS game). Cool to see someone else from the Philly 'burbs.

Thanks Matt. There are many who are from the Philly burbs who post here on FM.
I know nothing about baseball. (Don't do ball games - - only when I had to in school). I've read that someone here posted that the first look a tad underexposed. Personally I like the color of those more than the super bright ones.... But I have a tendency to like "moodier" shots.
But I love these shots. They're super action shots & I know you worked under difficult conditions. I'm sure your son & his team mates will love them. You've caught some great action shots here.
Well done. I'm sure your son is happy with them.
Lil
Thanks for dropping by to this side of FM Lil. Parents suck up this stuff not to mention the players. Thanks for your comments.
