I agree that an advertisement with this kind of circulation should yield you some significant compensation. Might want to run it through fotoquote.
As far as irony... that seems like a silly comment. Do you really expect apple would decide to use the photos, and then say "your photos are great, but hold on, do you use a Mac or PC?" (not to mention the program is for both systems).
