Did you even blush at these tender moments? Wonderful work as usual Chris and you constantly amaze me the overall quality of your photos. Your subjects must know when you are in the area and are ready to pose. These were shot east to west from the dock side?
Bill Hi, Bill. Yup, these were from the dock. Fun when then docks moving up and down.

Wonderful behavioral series. They are all great photos, nice and sharp and good exposures. This series demonstrates what I call the great side effects of nature photography. We see things that we probably wouldn't see if we weren't photographing. Thanks for sharing this beautiful scene.
Tim Very well put, Tim. Can't think of a better reason to go out and make images. Great therapy for us all!
O my gosh Chris, these are really wonderful! I certainly can't argue with your wife's logic either. These are great behavior images and, most definitely....love is in the air. Well done.
Now that is what I call 'necking' ! Beautiful captures, just right for Valentines Day. Nice work, although I bet it was more like play for you. Glad you had the time to be there.

Wow Chris these are great. The only time I ever see these guys is them flying away butt shots cause they spotting me a mile away. Some very interesting poses and behavior. I had no idea their courtship was that interesting. I love the poses and "Necking"
Chris, Your wife was right of course! Exceptional shots of behavior that you usually only see in National Geographic. Just a great job. I must say that after 30+ years of marriage I let my wife know she is always right also. Steve W

Gene Hey, Gene. Thanks for stopping by. Yes, you do know that tree. The grebes are not running yet, I think due to the fires. Hope all is well.
