Noticed the insurance section is a little thin so here is a little absolute WIN for anybody looking for insurance.
Pam Lesemann ([email protected]) with American Photographic Artists (APA ) hooked me up with a fantastic policy specifically written for photographers with better coverage than I could find anywhere else. The premium was also the lowest I could find.
Not sure if this belongs in this thread... I would consider it a great resource.
The "Shoot to Kill" weekly photography podcast is excellent. It's super well put together, has some great info, and my favorite: It's actually entertaining.
Ive been feeling my way through the introductory world of wedding photography, moving from portrait photography and the album section was really helpful.

Been using them for 2 years now and am VERY happy with them.
This is one great thread! Thank you very much for putting this together. this is exactly what I need as I prepare to take my photography hobby to the next level of becoming a business photography in the near future.
We wanted to add 2 photo editing companies we use. shootdotedit.com like their stuff and used them in the past. Recently we found a local to us that is just awesome. We just did their site for them. Still waiting to for them to add photo samples of their work to the site but their site is live with pricing and other info. they do a crazy good job and for a good price. We gave them 15 weddings this year and after talking with a few others, it seems this place is getting crazy busy too. thought I would share the editing love. http:/yourstudioeditor.comhttp:/yourstudioeditor.com
I dont know of this is posted, I skimmed through and didnt see much for press books.
I do offer some press books as an econo option for parent albums/boudoir/family. Id rather them have some kind of album than have pictures trapped on the computer.. I dont push them but the option is there.
If you're looking for webhosting that is reliable, fast and always up. Try Hostgator and be sure to use coupon code photosbynick or thegatorate25 for a 25% discount when you signup. We switched from godaddy to hostgator a few years ago and never once looked back. We love them.
