Kestrels really are "so last year" but you did a pretty good job of catching up. There were three WTKs, 2 RTHs and a pair of RSHs out at SJWS yesterday, along with a plethora of Cedar Waxwings, but glad you had fun with your Kestrels

Mr. Zoom -
Thanks for the heads-up on the Cedar Waxwings, but wasn't there a "exotic" that you failed to tell me about? I'll try not to hold it against you since I did get shots of it.

And a Happy New Years to you, too. According to my archives, things should really be picking up the next several months around here. Here's to good shooting in 2008!

Good one Ken wonder where Ken II is today?
SJWS?

Hmmm............. I hope that you're not referring to me as Ken #2. After all, I was on this board first.
Adn yes, I did go down to SJWS today. Didn't get raptors or Cedar Waxwings, but spent some time there shooting what was purported to be a rare exotic sighting of the African Weaver. So, no need for Mr. Zoom to be too smug.

I was there too. Lots of people with long lenses. Nice shots. A lot better than mine. ; )
I agree. There were a lot of people and a lot of heavy glass out there on Sunday. More recently, a lot of the big glass are leaving their stationary stations at the bridge and are going to the back areas. At least we're all getting our exercises.

Ken, you shouldn't pay attention to fads. Your #4 Krestel will always be "in".

Good seeing you the other day. Happy New Year's to you.
Yeah, it's a good thing that I don't pay attention to fads (You can tell by the way I dress).

Super, and the kestrel with the fanned-out tail is my fave. Now, if only there were a few crocodiles in those shots, THEN we'd be talking some big-time action!!
