You are right!
The links on the top of this page were changed to match the links on other pages. (main board, viewboard, etc...)
I could not believe that the "PM" link was not there before...
With Javascript disabled, left column of a thread thread is appearing in the ordinary way. This Luddite is thankful. FWIW, everything look goods with Phoenix 0.5 (my FM browser of choice). Netscape Navigator Gold 3 and lynx are also happy. Will check out my IBM 1130 console as soon as the punched cards for this thread are loaded.
On the "Recent post by yourname" board the page numbers go 1 2 3...16 17 end
However, when you are on page 3 the numbering does not change so that page 4 is available to select.
A suggestion also for this page. It would be excellent if each topic could only appear once - my first page has 7 entries on it of the same post - not really needed
What I was trying to convey was I liked/used the "Portal" link that was at the top of every post page, so you can go to the portal when finished reading a post if you want, as well as go back to the forum topic page.
We used to put an '_' in front of an image link to have it display as a link rather than embed in the message. Seems like that 'feature' has been broken with the recent changes. I had to use the Hyperlink button (i.e. URL tag) to link my images.
What I was trying to convey was I liked/used the "Portal" link that was at the top of every post page, so you can go to the portal when finished reading a post if you want, as well as go back to the forum topic page.
The links and their sequence are now pretty much matching all pages of the forum.
When you get used to the links and their sequence, it's not very intuitive when pages list them in a different order. This was an issue I waited too long to correct.

Why did the '_' shortcut get removed?
We have to use the URL tag for that now.
It's actually a side effect of efficiency. Now, the code is able to embed images with "_", commas, extra periods, etc...
What you described was actually a bug, not a feature.

What you described was actually a bug, not a feature.
So, does that mean that all our old posts which took advantage of the 'bug' will now have embedded images? Yikes!
That's how we used to tell everyone to create a link to a picture...it was easier than trying to explain the URL tag or the Hyperlink button.

The Portal page won't be accessible from the “viewtopic” page (this page). It's only accessible by clicking on the Portal button on any other page of the site forum. (This page does not share the same header)

I've been having an issue with the "next" button while in a forum post. When I click then, instead of the next thread, I get bumped down 6 threads (actually, just tried it in this forum, got kicked down 12 threads).
I'm using Firefox (most recent release). Haven't tried IE to see if this happens there too.
Just in case you think nothing is happening about your favourite bug, I am having a rest while the servers are migrated, and will be resuming development and bugfixing in a few days. Thanks for being patient.
