I managed to get out yesterday and shoot the sunrise.
it looked very promising at 6am with the clouds. By the time the sunrise happened they all moved to the north. DOOOOHHH !
Managed to at least get a couple in. C&C appreciated.
Nothing special These look pretty special to me. They both are very nice. I like the compositions in them and the color you got. My favorite is #2, I really love the way the water is just reflecting that orange!
Oh, and good job on framing out most of the sky, it really helps the shot that the water area is so dominating.

I prefer the composition of the first, with the reflected curving line of clouds, and the shape created by the opposite shore in #2 bothers me for some reason. But, I do like the intensity of the orange in #2. As several have noted, the piece of driftwood really helps with the shot.
I see it as a tie for first place. I like the simple composition and the sense of depth in each shot. The colors are excellent. The driftwood is icing on the cake. No nits from me with either shot.
