Black and white suits this as you are focused to the pepper grain and not distracted.

Love it! I prefer it to the coin shot, The glare is in just the right places -must've been difficult to light, but you did a fabulous job! Love the DOF too, as the focus is spot on for the out of place peppercorn. Great entry! -amy

Very clever. I really like this one. Once again, the coin shot (as I did the same the previous week) had something that you just quite couldn't get your mind around? I still thought you did very well with it however. This one sparks my interest more

I liked the coin shot also. This one is very well done. Lighting is difficult with the objects you selected to photograph, but you did very well. The eye goes directly to the out of place peppercorn. Great composition and angle of view.
