Having money and buying something are different issues. I wouldn't want a Ferrari or an "Alfa" (not sure what that is in US market equivalent) for free.

uh huh. Go back and read the title and the request.
Enjoy your Dynatran. I'm glad you like it.
Just think if someone gave you a Gitzo, you could go and trade it for a bucket full of Dyntrans. Then you would have enough to last for a lifetime.
By the way, thought you might find this interesting, from wikipedia
"Running amok, sometimes referred to as simply amok (also spelled amuck or amuk), is derived from the Malay word amuk, meaning "mad with rage" (uncontrollable rage). Although commonly used in a colloquial and less-violent sense, the phrase is particularly associated with a specific sociopathic culture-bound syndrome in Malaysian culture."
Thank you. Considering who posted it, I consider this a compliment.
I won't need a bunch of Dynatrans. The one I have is working quite well, thank you, and will apparently continue to do so for a long while.
If I spend 600 bucks on ancillary equipment something will have to give. And I don't mean lunch, as one poster said he gave up. (Must be some hellacious lunch he gave up) My meager pension simply doesn't allow for such extravagance as Gitzo. Well, you at least have bragging rights.
Why would you worry about my place of employment? Cause I have, like, use and heartily recommend Gitzo gear? For the record, if it helps, I don't work for Gitzo (or Bogen/Manfrotto) or any other company associated with anything remotely associated with photographic gear as I'm just a poor working stiff who has a Pest Control business and a Jones for photography since the early 60's cause I can't dance.
I have, use and equally recommend, in the same said hearty fashion, PW's, Sekonic, RRS, LowePro, ThinkTankPhoto, Canon, Sigma, Tamron, B&H, B+W...... and a whole bunch more gear made by a lotta different manufactures of photographic gear.
