Thanks guy, I will check again in a few days after they've had a chance to iron out any errors. Unfortunately the $12xx from Norman Camera is for the 16-35MM ƒ/2.8L I.
Their 16-35MM ƒ/2.8L II is $1449 (but it is in stock..).

monoprint -- I think that's a mistake on their part. I'd question them about it. Check out Norman Camera...they're showing $12xx after rebate but don't have it in stock.
The Canon 50mm f/1.2 was $1359 earlier today (2 hours ago) at B&H. It was listed in stock and available, so you should expect to pay $1259. The 85L was already reflecting the price of $1664 AR but when I put the 50 in my cart it showed the full price. I'm sure the 50 is getting an update now.
If anyone can identify those dealers that are raising their prices, I suggest contacting Canon and complaining.

Canoga has the 16-35 f/2.8L II for $1329. Buydig had it for 1389 before the rebate this morning but they raised the price to $1429, before rebate, this afternoon.
Norman had the 100-400 IS for $1389 this morning, before the rebate, but they raised their base price to $1410 this afternoon to add the $100 rebate for a final price of $1310.
And this is why I won't be buying any new glass this year.. what a shaft by Canon and the stores, how they are raising their prices to compensate for the rebate.. shameless... Looks like I will be buying used this year.
B&H had the 50L for $1259 yesterday. Now it's $1359 with $100 instant rebate. 16-35II, yesterday $1349, now $1449. Gee, I remember when Mr. Posner came on this forum last time to apologize for their simple "programming error" that accidentally looked like price gouging. What a shock! It happened again! Must be a damn hard glitch to figure out.
I am new to this photography hobby. Never have I seen such price gouging practice amongst vendors. This instant rebate thing almost sounds like a conspiracy between Canon and dealers. It's such a shame stuff like this goes on for such a wonderful hobby. Totally turned me off from buying.
Good luck with the canon rebates, I have yet to get one back. I would not waste the time. I got the 17-50 tamron for $419 I believe and tamron has as $25 rebate. We'll see how tamron comes through.

Due to the "technical problem" that B&H had in the last rebate period. I went to their site a week ago (10/11) and wrote down the prices of some of the lenses. As of 10/11, the 50L was listed for $1359.00 and the 16-35 II was listed for $1449.95. Maybe B&H had a different problem this time that they lowered their prices one day too early

Ya know, last time around, everybody griped about B&H, and I chimed in somewhat in defense of B&H and Mr. Posner.
But if what fourfa writes is true, then I'm pretty disgusted. Pretty much means what Posner said was a lie. There was a big outcry around here last time, and it seems like it got some attention (at least from B&H. I hope it'll be bigger this time.
This really is vulgar business. B&H can no longer be held up as some kind of exemplar of solid business practices. Jerks.
I had an absolutely dreadful experience buying a 4x5 kit from B&H about three years ago - basically they sold me something they were out of, sent me half of it, said they didn't know when the rest (the lens - kinda important) would come in. Then they gave me a lot of trouble trying to return what I had, and when I finally got it returned, they tried to not refund the cost of the lens, because I hadn't sent it back in.
The lens that I had never received.
And then, for the best part, they had continued listing the Toyo kit as in-stock for the entirety of this six or eight week ordeal. Don't know if they were toying with other customers or if I just got the short end of the stick.
I guess you had to order as soon as the rebate hit. The 24-70, 70-200 2.8 is and the 85/1.8 all were the same price as last week when I ordered this morning. If they had that same glitch again it was not a glitch. Maybe they're trying to make up some of the money from the lawsuit and hope we wouldn't figure it out.
I just checked this months issue of Popular photography and B&H has the 100-400L listed at $1410. When I looked at the web site earlier today it was $1310.

I also checked the price of the 100-400L (among other lenses) a week ago (10/11) and it was indeed $1410. So, it looks like that B&H did not raise the price and they simply deduct the instant rebate amount of $100 off their regular list price and hence $1410 -$100 = $1310.
FYI, the following are B&H's list prices as of 10/11 (a week ago):
50L - $1359
16-35L II - $1449.95
17-40L - $679
24-70L - $1139
70-200/4L IS - $1059
100-400L - $1410
