Grabbed this frame this Wednesday. This is as-shot, with the exception of resizing using WP Pro. Thought it might work for this theme. I don't remember ever submitting before, but what the heck!

Excellent shot! It works for me without a doubt. Tuesday was the deadline for last week's assignment so a Wednesday pic is gotta be current.

Usually it's Tuesday, but it was Wednesday last week. (Fred posted the finalists September 12) As long as you took this after Fred's posting time, you're good.
As for the photo, well shot, fits the theme perfectly.
I lost track of time this week...I took it Tuesday night, 9/11. Does this mean it's not eligible? Bummer if so. I didn't even think about the day...I figured it was for "this week" since it's posted as "this weeks' theme. Maybe I need to read the rules more closely.

Unfortunately I think that disqualifies it. Which is sad because it's an awesome image...
From the rules: New pictures only. Please help maintain this board as a learning tool for the photographers who participate. Only pictures taken during the weekly assignment may be submitted. All other submissions will be disqualified and moved to the appropriate board.
Just me though, maybe someone with more experience here on the board can tell you for certain.
Hey Michael! If it is out, no worries you have a "great" shot regardless and hopefully you have the time to take advantage of another shot for the WA. Why not have two great shots?
This deadline thing gets really touchy. From the way Fred has explained it before, when he says Tuesday, the technical deadline is at midnight Monday night. Tuesday means by Tuesday, not by the end of Tuesday.
Now he usually doesn't get around to picking until Tuesday, or even Wednesday. I know because I submitted a pic late one Tuesday night and Fred had picked them this week as I was posting.
Usually you are safe posting on Tuesday, sometimes even the Wednesday.
It is all up to Fred. I don't think intent has anything to do with it. I've seen people post pics on other parts of FM and have mentioned that they could enter in the WA, as it was on topic that week. One guy even won that week. He didn't intentionally take the pic for the WA, but it fit in the technical dates.
Very nice shot. Great subject and fits the theme. I did a similar thing with a shot from 2 WA's back. But it was kept and not kicked out. Of course it didn't make the cut for voting. Maybe that might be where the date whould come into play.

Thank you all for the kind words and comments. I truly appreciate it. There are some great images posted in the forum on a regular basis and I'm humbled to be considered worthy to be among them.
