In response to the overall negative activity on the boards regarding Canon's 1D MkIII, I wanted to provide a thread in which we MkIII owners can share images that illustrate the many positive aspects of this fantastic camera. I've found some unique characteristics in this camera, not the least of which is the excellent metering, impressive dynamic range, high-ISO performance and the basic tonality of the files.
Please post any image(s) you think will give insight to those who do not own this camera. They don't have to be AI Servo successes, and feel free to post some 100% crops if you wish (for those who are into such 'details'). Please keep images to 1000 pixels in the long dimension or less.
Carry on!

PS: I reserve the right to add my images to this post later; I'm at the in-laws without my images at the moment!
PPS: Done... Nothing special here, just some typical images from the camera...
Jeff, you're right. It's a heck of a camera.
This shot was during the "Bavaria City Racing", a street racing event in Rotterdam (Holand).
This is Adrian Sutil in his F1 Spyker.
No crop, 1DMkIII + 400DO ISO 400, F4, 1/2500 (some people call this a bad lens )
PS! I'm havinge severe AI-servo problems, but not on this one Aimed at the helmet

OK, I'll play...two favs because they are of my kids. First is a simple snapshot of the 17 year old...
I think your bias with these. The second one is really good, but the lighting on the first one doesn't work for me. I guess that's no fault of the MkIII though. must be the lens

Wow, what a great shot, EMC 2!!! Is there lots of PP in this one?
Thank you so much for the compliment. Yes, a fair bit of PP to make the colors pop, but the original image I had to work with was very good. I'm thrilled with my MKIII so far. Thanks again.
Hey Nick - I'm usually pretty jaded about motorcycle racing images, but that first one is a stunner! Not just seeing his eyes through the visor, the heat off the exhaust, but the streaks of rain bouncing off his shoulder - and enough blur on the wheels to boot. Nice one...
