Thanks so much for the kind comment, HH, my friend! I appreciate it! Yes, George the Giraffe is totally unique. Goes to show what unrequited love will produce! As soon as the topic came up I thought of George since there isn't another one like him in the world.
All best wishes,
Endre

Wow. I didnt see the original but this is another winner. What also amazing is the Giraffe that this friend made it is amazing itself.
I do believe that this is an improvement on the original Endre in a number of ways. Top work as usual. Just one little point - perhaps your wife could give your daughter a quick tutoring in the art of nail polish application, unless that is the style of today's generation of course.
Thanks so much, Bill! I appreciate the kind comments.
As to nail polish - I asked Csilla about that. It was one of the reasons I cropped the photo so tighly the previous time - to hide the fingernail polish. She tells me that she purposely did it that way. I asked her if it was a current style and she just said SHE likes it that way. I guess it's her own style. Maybe she'll start a trend. :worried: I hope not, because I don't think it looks very good. My wife never wears nail polish so she'd have no significant input in that department.
All best wishes,
Endre

Great picture Endre!
The extraordinary contrasting differences in size really bring this picture to the top of the ‘miniature’ pack!
Not only the giraffe with its mini giant neck, but the mini nail polishing patterns.
Brilliant!
I haven't read all the other comments, so forgive me if someone else has pointed this out, but I find the background to be a little distracting. It is too busy for my tastes and seems to distract from an otherwise excellent photo. I am certain that I am in the minority here, so you are free to ignore my comments.
Thanks, John, my friend! I'm delighted that you like it so much! I did feel that the only way to properly show off a "miniature" object is to juxtapose it with something to give it perspective. That was particularly necessary with this little giraffe since I have taken macro photos of it and without something to give it a size comparison it looks almost like a real giraffe. I'll tell Csilla about the "miniature" nail polishing. She'll get a kick out of that!
Fond regards,
Endre

As always, Robert, your comments are insightful and helpful. Even though you were the only one to comment on it, I had already perceived the problem and was in the process of messing up the background to minimize that sharp dark shape that I also found distracting when I read your critique. Every detail counts. Thanks so much for the kind input.
Fond regards,
Endre

Now it's excellent! Love seeing Csilla's eyes, (they're so beautiful.....lovely lashes,) and I think you've nailed it on this one. (That wasn't meant as a fingernail pun. ) Absolutely perfect! Great re-take, Endre, my friend!
Thanks so much, Philly, my dear! I couldn't / wouldn't have done it without the help of my wonderful FM friends and collegues. I appreciate your kind words!
All best wishes,
Endre
