Really artistic composition here Christian. I need to be more daring occasionally on my exposure. The heat in this image works well IMO. Well done.

Wow! I love that eye! The face and lollipop seem relatively overexposed, so I am curious how you managed that.

This is a really fine use of a sometimes overdone technique/style. The pale skin accentuates the amazing color of her eye, and together with the lollipop and the background: WOW!

I really wanted to over expose this picture, and make the eye the center piece. My wife picked the title.

Thanks Al,
I used the Diffuse Glow in CS2. I had over exposed the image 1 stop already so it made it easy to get the glow. I adjusted levels to bring the contrast out in the eye. I used the Color Channel and I also burned the lollipop to get some more color out. I thought it was a fun experiment on this photo.

I over did a pp techinque I am sure you know from your wedding and portrait work Jess. And yes, I did it farther than what is intended I think.

From last week, here are a couple shots I did for a fathers day gift for some friends.
First image is overexposed ~4 stops, the second I used a more appropriate applied diffuse glow (I think anyway).

Wow, that is one superb shot!

I love the symmetry between the curve of the lollipop and the iris, and the way the blues and green are reflected in each.

Thank you Suse. It is a simple picture and I agree on the colors but I had not seen what you see in the symmetry until now. It just sort of had a good flow for me

Thank you Endre. You are too kind my friend. I know I went out there but I was playing around with some new stuff last week so this was a learning experience too. One thing I am learning is that I don't shoot tight enough and find myself cropping a lot of shots, like this one.
