I just drove to Ikea (interesting store) and bought two tupperware sets @ 1.99 each. The only lid I can get to fit, with some pushing, is the rubber covered end of the lens hood (front when mounted for use).

They are called Reda and it's a set with five round bowls. You can get them in white or blue colour.

I beg to differ. I purchased the bowls last month, in fact I have all five with me now, along with an EF 300mm 2.8L IS.

Of the five lids, the middle-sized one fits the hood perfectly when in use, but none of the others fit the lens itself.

Like what Lars said, it comes in blue or white only. You can't beat it for $1.99. It is a perfect fit.

Evidently they've changed the design of the lids. The ones in your pictures are quite different to the new ones. Which is a shame!

You are right. I just checked the online picture. The lids have been redesigned. Oh well! It seems all good lids seem to go the way of the dodo bird. First it was the Pringles lid and now the Reda lid.

I bought the Reda for my 500 f4 IS. I couldn't find any cap that fit the lens or the shade.

i bought the reda 3-pack at ikea in schaumburg last year. � all three bowls/lids are the middle size and fit the 300 perfectly. � they ran a whopping $0.99 plus tax.
