This picture carries over quite some vastness and
a (romantic) feeling of loneliness. The deep black
of the hills and the contrast to the light sky make a
very graphic impression, counterbalanced by the
grey of the sand and the grey of the rest of the sky.
I like that a lot.
"Fionn mac Cumhaill" aka "Finn McCool" is the mythical Gaelic giant who built the Giant's Causeway in Co Antrim N.Ireland as stepping-stones to Scotland and gave his name to Fingal's Cave on the Isle of Staffa off the West coast of Scotland.
I came across these footprints on the otherwise deserted beach at Scarista on the Isle of Harris.
Excellent shot made better by the treatment (b&w). Really nice composition. I particularly like how you can see, even if barely, the footprints fading into the distance, leading your eye to the horizon ... and keeping this from seeming like a "staged" single footprint shot.
