Definately the best forum topic ever, and all the pages to prove it! I wanted to commend everyone for all these shots here. LOVED that last one of the Dauphine. Question for anyone: is the Reno Air Races always in Sept of each year? I've never been but plan to go in 2008 but need to plan ahead with people booking weddings so far in advance.

Oh MAN! What an opportunity! Nicely done, Pat. What else ya got??
Yeah, I believe Reno begins the 10th or the 12th of September. For me, it's not one of those gotta-go events but fun none the less. Especially if you've never been. But it's all worth it if you can line up a shoot or two at the end of the day.
Oh, and Pat, I see you're from Saskatoon. If ya come to Reno, bring me a couple cases of Saskatoon berry jelly. I was introduced to it a couple years back while working in Calgary. Can't find it down here!! But I'm hooked!
Boy, oh boy. Reno is a gotta-go event. These little parades of warbirds at airshows are nothing. They may be flying 300mph if they are lucky. At Reno, see WWII iron, on the deck, at 400-500mph. You can't even begin to describe what it sounds like to see a Bearcat, Sea Fury, or Mustang, just come screaming at you on the deck. It gives me the chills thinking about it.
If your not a race fan though, Reno is not the place to be. The air show performers are filler. The race is the main event. For hard core race fans like me, air show act?? That means it's time to each lunch.
Thanx! I'm certain I'll be committing to having a permanent PBase gallery. Tim, I love your website/gallerys. I think I found my fav shot of yours: http://www.timadamsphotography.com/9628%20F-4%20Phantom.jpg
I consider it the "GT500" of fighters!
Great work!! Thanks for adding some spice to our thread. You guys are all great. Fred is looking into why half our pages are missing images. I'm headed to ISAP in Pensacola early next week, might have a few additions depending upon what the field trips yield. Keep up the good work guys!!
Thanx Jim. I hadn't posted much since joining FM a while ago, but now ....yahoo! I wan't to see this topic reach 100 pages. Soooooo.... keep 'em coming guys!
I just e-mailed Fred the link to our thread, hope to get this back on track. I'll keep you posted. BA31, you're wicked good with that camera of yours. Thanks for your participation!!
I have a very dear friend named Joe Dobransky. He lives on a little grass strip not far from my home and we have impromptu fly-ins. Between us we've got some great airplanes that really draw a crowd. People will stop with their little ones and sit on the grass just enjoying the sounds and sights. We'll hop rides for anyone who'd like. Joe loves to loop and roll his big Waco Taperwing (and anything else with wings!) and he's got the touch. A few years ago I nicknamed him "The Great Dobransky", and it stuck. He's a fine man and a great friend, everyone in the family loves him right down to my Grandchildren. Joe's flown everything from a 777 to his '46 Cub and he graces numerous pages on this thread.
Ya know Jim, reading your post took me back to similar times with my dad. I'd give anything to join you one hot Texas afternoon with my two kiddies and spend time listening to "The Great Dobransky". We need more times like this in our lives....
Here was a fun one. I don't yet have any superwide lens yet for my 20D, but will soon try this again with either Sigma 12-24 or Canon 10-22. This was done with 17-40L, 13secs at f8.0.
