Ahhh.. so that's what outside looks like... I must try this with our window. It's a bit smaller and not made of glass, but I just use my head to break it, yes?
Worth the last minute rush Suse - the glass, so wonderfully silvery.
Beautiful yet again, Suse. I could tell your inimitable style from the thumbnail. Bravo!
By the way, if Fibble uses his head to try to break out he may be in for a rude shock as I suspect the bars are a lot harder than glass over at his "residence".

Yes, but I'm sure the walls at the Flibble residence are nice and soft!
Very creative image suse. I love the contrast of the ugly broken window and the beautiful sky outside. Looks great in B&W.
Thanks Mr Flibs. Sadly I don't think you'll get past the bars on your windows.
What this shot doesn't show isn't the palava I had trying to get it! It involved standing on a wooden bench, on tiptoes, and pointing the camera upwards. I then had to wait for the damn cloud to make it's way into the right spot.
All this in front of three sniggering 13 year old boys on bikes.

Hi Endre
Lol. Yes, I was a bit concerned when I posted the shot that it might give Flibble too many ideas.

Thanks Bob, I appreciate your comment. There were a whole range of broken windows, and it was a shot calling out to be taken. I used the b&w to try and really highlight the cracks etc.

Suse, very cool photo. I like the spider web in contast to the spider cracked glass. Nice shot and thanks for sharing.
Hi, thanks for the comment. I'm glad you noticed the inner spider's web. I couldn't find a way of making it stand out any more against the cloud. This window was high up above me, I was already standing on a bench - I really needed a step ladder and my 100 macro. I knew there was a reason I needed to get a SUV/4x4.

Nothing broken in this image wow. What time of day what settings how much post processing. I really am impressed.
Hi Howard
Nice to hear from you. It was shot late afternoon, about 5pm. I'll post a grab of the exif below. The processing was just: levels, conversion to B&W, contrast layer and a little burning back of the sky/cloud.
I'd had to wait a few days to get the shot, as we had a lot of English rain over the week-end - fortunately a brighter sky and clouds made an appearance just in time.
Very good image, suse. (I really like that thin spider web...almost as if the spider was trying to repair the broken safety mesh.) In the coming years I suspect that it will bring a smile to your face as you recall the gymnastics and "sniggering" kids you endured to capture it.
