I haven't even had a chance to look at the entries so far, so I hope I haven't duplicated someone else's subject matter.
Fairly simple subject, completely minimalist lighting and background. As late as I'm entering, I may get minimal commentary as well!
Gave me a half hour or so of enjoyment. I hope you enjoy taking a peek.
Thanks guys, sorry I didn't have much chance to take part in the "give and take" (critique and support) of this week's assignment. *
Endre, it was a really simple setup (in keeping with the theme). The grape stood by itself at a slight angle on a plate (this grape had a somewhat flat spot where it came off the stem). I increased the apparent angle very slightly through camera tilt. I used existing kitchen illumination: an over-the-sink fluorescent slightly to camera left and an under-cabinet halogen to camera right. I dripped a bit of water using a paper towel. Used my cheap old Vivitar 100 macro on the 1D2.
* Various high pressure photo assignments during the WA, as well as prep for performances of Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring". Minimalism was probably a perfect assingment topic for me that week!
