Ahhh, simple pleasures - a late summer Sunday afternoon with the one you love, a swing hanging from an oak tree, gently swaying from the sea breeze, no phone, no schedule, no worries. Life is good!
I've been looking for your image Robert.....the empty chair is great, especially shot from the rear to keep it from becoming too prominent and maintain the minimalistic theme.
Nice sky too, just to top off the image!
Great job, the composition works very well for the theme

Thanks, everyone, for your comments. I have had a busy week, and have not found much time for the WA, so I hope that you will forgive me for my failure to comment on the many wonderful entries posted this week. I'll try to do better next week.
Thanks, Gotsy and Tom. The lighting was a bit tricky on this one, and I oscillated on whether to silhouette the swing or bring it out with fill flash. In the end, I did neither, but waited instead for the late afternoon sunlight to do the work for me. Gotsy, I should have had a beer while I waited, and in fact, this scene reminds me of some of the Corona commercials, and so I borrowed a portion of their byline for the title.
