Found this squeegee ball hanging around the office. Ironically, it probably spends more time getting squashed with the grimacing squasher trying to release their tensions upon it. It was probably quite happy to spend time as a photographic model rather than a stress relief device!

I love this shot for the WA Theme, because not only is it minimalistic photographically speaking, but the smiley face itself is a minimalistic symbol of the human face.

Agree with Joshua ... a minimalist symbol as the subject of a minimalist composition. Great entry.

Very fun shot that represents the theme perfectly. I really like the way it is lit, and the softness of the reflection and shadows.

Thanks for the complement Endre. I have enjoyed many of your pictures. It is definately pleasing to get such positive feedback from someone who has taken some great photos.

I have to confess that whilst the lighting worked out pretty well, the method was rather unspectacular. Basically, it was just an old desk lamp and a flash with a bounce hood. The shot was taken on the boardroom table at the office, with a piece of blue cardboard slipped under the glass.

Cheers,
Simon.

Most welcome, Simon. I appreciate hearing about your lighting system. That's the kind of lighting jerryrigging that I often do. It makes the result even better. javascript:void(0);
