Wonderful use of color and a great idea for the assignment. Chas indicated it might be an erasable mark, but just the thought causes both pain and my stomach to turn.
Robert, hats off to a Great Job!
Regards,
Tom

Dan,

Those still living would be hospitalized at the thought.

Thanks for the comments.

Tom,

Thanks for your comments.

BTW, congratulations on making the finals last week. Jane and I were in downtown Chicago for a conference, and our hotel was experiencing network problems; therefore, we were stuck with dial-up internet connection speed. I didn't get around to posting many comments. I would have been there all night.

Nice Porsche to match your jacket!

Please tell me that no Porsches were hurt in the production of this picture, I'm a member of PETP, People for the Ethical Treatmant of Porsches.

"I feel no pain, I feel no pain..."
Even though I've never owned a car even close in value to a Porsche, seeing such a beautiful finish being willfully attacked causes substantial pain. Beautiful execution of a perfect representation of the assignment concept.

Jess,

Not to worry; no Porsches were harmed in the making of this photo. :worried: Thanks for the compliments, my friend.

Really great take on the theme, Robert. I really like the composition and that yellow is so punchy...

Great shot, Robert! I love it. It certainly captures the theme - makes me wince. :worried: Somehow, it's hard to imagine that such nicely manicured nails would belong to a vandal.
All the best,
Endre

Suse,

I always appreciate a comment from you, because you dole them out sparingly.

Thanks so much!

Hi Strad,

Thanks for taking the time to comment, for I know that you are busy with the horse vaulting event this week. Here's hoping that you get no pain shots at that event!

You are right, my model is about as far removed from being a vandal as one could be, but she played the part to perfection.

I hope that you can find time to post an entry this week. If not, we'll miss you and hope to see you back next week for what appears to be Industrial Landscape.

Best regards,
Robert

Great shot, Robert. Having recently watched the original version of "The Itallian Job" and seeing Lamborghinis, Aston Martins and Jag XKEs (also one of my favorite cars) willfully destroyed I can definitely feel the pain here.

Tom,

Growing up in the heyday of muscle cars, drag racing and drive-in restaurants (I am telling my age here.), I have always had a love affair with cars. Although I have never owned anything even close to the above exotics, I would likely go into convulsions if I were to witness one of them willfully destroyed, and anything approaching the actual defacing depicted in my photo would cause serious gnashing of teeth. Painful stuff, indeed!

I am glad that you like the photo. Thank you for taking the time to comment.

Honey, I think I would prefer the red Ferrari. You know--the one without the key marks.
