Hmm...working things backwards this way, you could probably use postage-due stamps (remember those?) and collect money with each letter you send. Is "Thing" Addams your model?

Thanks for the compliment, Jess. Does Fred award free FM Galleries? Hmmm... That is something to aspire to.

Unfortunately, "Thing" was not my model since he expired several years ago in a tragic accident involving a large jar of chunky peanut butter and a Shop-Vac. (I'll leave the messy details to your fertile imagination

) However, all will be revealed im my forthcoming reply to Christian, below.

I was going to ask if you had been watching Addams Familt reruns, but I see the connection has already been made. Great use of selective color and fantastic execution.

I tried getting Fibbs for this but sadly, he had already mailed himself elsewhere. I believe he was being sent Special Delivery to Gotsy's place. I'm not certain. Also, once he had extricated himself from that picture frame, he discovered that he was in very high demand for such tight-squeeze assignments. His price was out of reach. Consequently, I had to resort to more draconian measures to obtain my model.

If you read my post to Suse, you'll see that at first I tried to interest Fibbs in modeling for this but, sadly, that was to no avail. So, instead I was forced to stuff my 15 year old daughter into the mailbox. Unfortunately, it was a rather tight squeeze and the resulting pressure on the lock from the inside has made it impossible for us to get her out. We're working on it...

It's just an example of the sacrifices we must make for our art.

Super image Endre.............I like the complexity of the image, the deail, vs. the simplicity of the color and monotone. How did you do the sepia, if i may ask??

I did the sepia using Gotsy's B & W technique from a couple of weeks ago. I absolutely love the exquisite control one gets over the color and contrast. (Thanks again, Gotsy!

Strad this is wonderful wonderful I DID think it was Flibble's when I was looking at the thumbnails.

Congrats on getting into the finals! Well deserved.

It is good to be back, and we have purchased a laptop card that hopefully will work as promised--i.e.get the internet pretty much anywhere. We will see...........................

I can't tell you how much your friendship means to us and for sure next time we are awol we will advise you in advance

I think Fibs has already mailed himself out of town. He mentioned that he was going postal.

Too bad, since both my photo and some of my commentary are rather Fibble-esque, if I do say so myself. He may miss seeing my homage to his genius.
