I think that may be the case...I learned a bit of Pascal back in high school, maybe I should parlay that into a new career...
You want to earn easy money come out to Silicon Valley and be a colo rat. You drive out to data centers that co-locate other people's servers and fix stuff and you get endless amounts of work. Nobody wants to do it, not even me
The 35XL is definitely the way to go for a LF wide angle lens. There's really no doubt about that at all. Gotta wait till Hanukkah, or at least my birthday, to take care of that purchase with a wide cam solution...

You better take it easy for a couple of weeks. I know how much money you've spent this month! Your gear list is so big now you can't even fit it on FM anymore !
my bday aint till August I have the trip to Africa end of May I need to start paying attention to...As for my gear list, well, only my insurance agent knows for sure all the crap I have, but I don't think it's too bloated, I have pretty much the essentials. I don't even own a lens over 150mm long anymore, at least I don't think I do
Did you guys hear that Paul Freeman is starting a new discussion group called d64 for medium format? if you want to join email me. I don't know if this one will end up taking off or if things will move over to LL, Outback or the old RG or some other place. The idea of d64 is all medium and large format stuff with an open style. It's just opening up right now so not much on there yet.
I just sent out the invite to the five people that emailed me. Anyone else interested in medium and large format is welcome to join the d64 forum. This is just the first week that it is up so we're just all logging in so it is a good time to join. I actually hope we upgrade the software soon but otherwise there are some good guys on there already that you all know including our friend, "The Alpa Guy" This is a no fee, no moderation forum. It is invite only but the only criteria is interest in the topic. So it is basically open.
Victor send me an email and I'll have the invite sent to you. You can't log in via the URL until I enter your email address onto the system and then it generates and invite email and sends it to you with the URL and authorization to log on. It's a little complex but it works We'd be happy to have you
Wow - that's 12 people so far today - this is a lot of interest! I've signed up everyone who emailed me. You should receive log in instructions shortly.
Yes! Anyone interested in medium or large format can join even if you are just getting started. You don't need to even own the gear yet - you just need to want to post questions, read and have fun! You just need to send me your email address so I can give you access to the site.
