Gentlemen: Is 4x5 full frame? What about 6x6? Is 8x10 full frame? So, what is full frame?
"Full frame" for those shooting 35mm film is 1x1.5 inches. The normal lens is the 50mm. For a 6x6 that size is full frame and the normal lens is 80mm. I never heard anyone to complain about shooting with a 6x6 as if it was not full frame. Have you heard anyone shooting 4x5 complaining about the format? I have not for sure!
So, why all the fuzz about sensor size for digital and full frame? A sensor is APS size and it is FULL

Ummm....then I will take the "Fullest" frame, you know the one Nikon designed the vast majority of their lenses around?

Just bought a full frame Nikon today, my second FM3A.

Err not to nitpick, but since Nikon is also a big Medical and Binocular company, the vast majority of their lenses may not even be built around a camera of any kind.

Still what you are indicating is that you have a preference to a 35mm sensor, which is a Fulll frame sensor in exactly the same way the DX sensor is, it's just the 35mm covers a little more area.

Good for you. I'm glad you prefer and enjoy a 35mm sensor. Just because you prefer it does not make it inherently better than a DX sensor. All it really does is makes your particular job, for you, easier to do. It offer some advantages over a DX sensor for certain types of photographers, just as the DX offers advantages to others. This is honestly nothing more than a variation of the 35mm vs Medium Format debate, the twist is that DX and 35mm sensors share so much of the same characteristics, including lens mount, that some people don't want to admit it.

Pretty much why I usually stay away. I am on here right now because I am a bit behind on archiving...some 96GB of it. I take no offense to the remarks above since my rant was not directed at anyone but Pavel who keeps the "Sht" as you call it going on and on and on.

To the other folks, you can tout Nikon all you want, it is a great camera company with killer product. I'm right there with you.
But you have to realize that non members come on here all the time looking for advice and when a guy

This feels like a thread on religion...
